We have officially closed the chapter on the year 2020! January is Self-Love Awareness Month and we at Premier want to support YOU! As we begin 2021 and people start making their New Year’s resolutions, it is important to acknowledge and reflect on all that you have conquered in this past year.
The COVID-19 virus has kept us all in isolation, separating us away from loved ones. We at Premier want to help you focus on yourself this month and take time out of each day for a little “you” time. We want to continue to support you in your community and ensure your safety, security and health.
The most honest and enduring love should always be self-love. Practicing self-love can help to reduce stress and promote a healthier lifestyle. Here are some helpful tips to reconnect with yourself:
Think positive thoughts
Do something you love
Write down your dreams
Spend time in nature
Write down 5 things that you are grateful for
Drink an extra glass of water
Make a list of 5 things you want to accomplish in 2021
Engage yourself in your care plan
Set manageable goals
Eat nutritious meals
Talk to a friend, loved one or neighbor
We hope that by using these tips, it will allow you to focus and take care of yourself every day. Premier and our aides are here to support YOU while you focus on yourself. Talk to your aide about the support you need. They can work with you and your family to ensure your health needs are fulfilled. Most importantly, talk to your aide and family about staying up to date on all of your doctor visits so you start the New Year off as healthy as can be!
