Making a Difference in NC during COVID-19

With what seems to be the “world crumbling beneath our feet,” there are incredible people out there that are doing things to make sure that it does not.

Instead of just teaching her daughter the ABCs and 123s….a North Carolina woman decided this was a great opportunity to teach her daughter a life skill that she could use to help support herself and others.

She has her own business and sells her product at local craft shows and on ETSY.  She has lots of extra material from previous projects and decided that they could make a difference with the challenges that we are all facing right now.

She set up her sewing machine and she and her daughter began the project of sewing masks for their local hospital in North Carolina  The medical staff at the hospital were thrilled to receive the masks and more importantly were inspired by the local mom and her little girl who wanted to pitch in and help them in their time of need.

No one can express to the medical staff and their entire support teams how much they are appreciated and admired at his challenging time.  This is not a World War that we as human beings are accustomed to.  It is indeed a World War…..but the enemy is invisible.  This war has put our Doctors, Nurses, C.N.As, and the entire medical community on the front lines.  There are NO fox holes that they can run to cover for…..they have to charge this enemy head on….they have no choice.  Instead of supplying our army with guns, ammo, and tanks….our defense team needs masks, gloves, gowns, etc… Now is the time for every human being to step up to the plate and help where they can….just like these women did.

REMARKABLY…we are seeing this every day.  The human spirit and our will to live will not be held down.  Let’s all do what we can to make a positive difference in someone’s life today….no matter how small it may seem.  Remember….a tsunami begins with a ripple. A thought for the day…..and it is funny…..let’s all be a ripple!!!!!
